Dr. Ezekiel Boro is an Advisor and director of Strategic Investment at Etana Trade and Investment Company Limited. He is a global health specialist with over 10 years of experience in health innovation, policy, and governance. He focuses on translating research into commercially viable health interventions and advancing equity for neglected populations in low and middle-income countries, especially sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently based in Europe. Dr. Ezekiel is the Head of Innovation Capacity Strengthening – Devex, Manager & Researcher-- Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK and Fellow Ahims Fund. He holds a Masters Degree in Global Health from the University of Geneva & Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Switzerland; and First Degree in Medicine – University of Lagos, Nigeria. Dr. Boro has Executive Education in Trade, intellectual property, health, and global health instruments, Geneva Graduate Institute and has his focus on Health technology innovation, policy, and governance with expertise in: - Innovation capacity strengthening - Health technology access strategy for LMICs - Global health policy & advocacy - Digital health & business development - Primary health care delivery - Programme management & implementation research Dr. Ezekiel Boro’s key Research & Publications includes: 1. FLIGHT Study Protocol, PLOS One 2025– Lead author Developing an innovation and enterprise framework for translating UK-driven global health research into commercially viable interventions. 2. The Lancet Global Health 2023– Co-author Resisting unchecked pragmatism in global health. 3. Antiracism in Public Health– Co-author Antiracism in leading public health universities, journals and funders: commitments, accountability and the decision-makers. 4. Racial Equity Metrics – Co-author The need for metrics to measure progress on racial equity in global public health and medicine. Dr. Boro has worked across international organizations, NGOs, academia, and public/private sectors in diverse regions and contexts. Early in his career, he practiced as a primary care doctor in Nigeria, working with underserved “Bottom of the Pyramid” communities. He is passionate about improving health outcomes and equity through collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based policy.
